Second Generation TempaGel by Restonic Makes its Debut

Restonic Mattress Corporation reported that it will bring TempaGel by Restonic, 2nd Generation to the High Point Furniture Market In April.

The launch of TG2 is the culmination of a year of research and product development by Restonic’s Product Marketing Committee, which consists of manufacturers based in the United States.

“Our team created TG2 to create a temperature-neutral micro-climate in a bed,” said Laurie Tokarz, Vice President Buffalo Restonic. “It builds on our HealthRest series of mattresses, uniting the power of gel-infused foam, an airflow border and Outlast technology for a more temperature-controlled sleep environment.”

When your body overheats or is chilled, it works hard to regulate the temperature to ensure your organs continue working and you stay alive (in extreme circumstances). But if it can't control your temperature internally, it moves to more aggressive tactics, like making you sweat or shiver or increasing (or decreasing) your heart rate. If you're asleep when your thermostat soars or dips, you're in for a restless night and a not so great morning. Trouble is, our perception of temperature is as unique as our fingerprints – two people in the same bed can feel very different about the micro-climate (the temperature under the covers).

“We believe there is such a thing as a temperature-controlled bed and our innovative combination of phase change materials delivers on point,” said Tokarz. “In store demonstrations, we use oven mitts to help sales people and consumers understand how Outlast technology proactively regulates temperature before the body even feels heat.”

Retail price points of TG2 range from $1,299 to $2,499.
